Grant awarded for HBCU bridge program

Dr. Shanlin Pan in cooperation with the Graduate School’s Strategic Partnerships Initiative has received a $1 million NSF grant to support an HBCU bridge program. The grant will support the participation of students from Stillman College, Fort Valley State University, and Jackson State University in research and classroom activities at The University of Alabama with the goal of enhancing the competitiveness of students from these HBCU program for graduate studies and careers in STEM fields.
