The Association for Women in Science (AWIS), a national advocacy organization championing the interests of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics across all disciplines and employment sectors will be having a meeting on Wednesday, October 16, in Shelby Hall, Room 1092. Dr. Meredith Bagley from the University of Alabama’s Department of Communication Studies will be our guest speaker. Dr. Bagley will lead us in an engaging discussion on “X’s, O’s and Y’s? Challenges of Sport Sex Testing.”

Pizza will be served beginning at 6:30 PM, and the meeting will begin at 7:00 PM. During the organizational meeting you’ll learn more about our AWIS affiliate group, and our upcoming events.
