A postdoctoral position is available in the research group of Prof. Ayanjeet Ghosh in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Alabama. The project will focus on the investigating protein secondary structure and its variations in amyloid fibrils, both in-vitro and ex-vivo with a combination of nanoscale infrared spectroscopy and infrared microscopy. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Chemical/Biomedical engineering/Chemistry/Physics with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: Infrared spectroscopy, Raman Spectroscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy, Hyperspectral/Infrared Imaging, Machine learning/Chemometrics.  Interested candidates should contact Dr. Ghosh.
