Dr. Martin Bakker and Dr. James Harris have received a $520,000 grant entitled: “spectroscopic and kinetic interrogation of organometallic complexes encapsulated in zeolites for gas-phase alkane oxidation catalysis,” from the National Science Foundation. The project seeks to understand the pathways by which phthalocyanines isolated into the cages of zeolites catalyze oxidation reactions.
